The View From Up Here

I'm Ben McCoy — a Western Australian photographer who's spent the better part of a decade chasing light across this country. From the red dirt of the Kimberley to the turquoise shallows of Esperance, from pre-dawn starts on the Perth coast to helicopter flights over the Pilbara — I've been lucky enough to see Australia from angles most people never will.

Walk About Yonder started because I kept hearing the same thing from people who saw my work: "I wish I could put that on my wall." So now you can.

Why This Matters

A good photograph on your wall does something a screen never can. It changes the room. You walk past it on a Tuesday morning and for half a second you're back on that beach, standing in that light, breathing that air. That's what we're going for here — not decoration, but a feeling you get to keep.
