Preston Beach is one of those stretches of coast you only find if you're looking. About 115km south of Perth, a little past Mandurah on the way to Bunbury, where the dunes roll straight down to the Indian Ocean and the mornings belong to whoever gets there first.

Ben flew out at dawn in late December and came back with a handful of frames that felt different — softer, warmer, quieter than the rest of the WA coast. This is the first release from the region, shot entirely from above during one early-summer sunrise.

Expect more prints from Preston Beach over the months ahead — we'll be watching closely to see which shots you want on your wall before editing up the rest of the roll.
